That would have been a very funny ending and a bit ironic if he did snap himself away. He still might have been at peace with knowing he accomplished his life goal.
I watched a video somewhere on this exact topic. They said, that Thanos sounded like a Martyr. Meaning he’d be willing to die for the cause, but in other cases he seemed pretty positive that he wouldn’t die from the snap. Honestly, I think it would’ve been really funny and interesting if he died from it.
I think he thought that he wouldn't but actually i think he could die
I wish he died
His gaunlet could be taken by cap and he would reverse every thing that happened and made sure that thanos was never alive again

Fun fact: If Scott wasn't in quantum realm during the snap, This could've happened.

Correct me if I'm wrong, this isn't fresh in my brain:
Thanos said that he would sit and watch the sun set after he killed half the universe. If he didn't say that maybe there would be that chance. But I might be wrong.
I don't think he could have died. Based on a few assumptiona that I have made. That the snap was by "species." Meaning it snapped half of each species. Ending with half of each population still living. Thanos, being the only one of his people left would not have been at risk of being killed.
