How do you think Iron Man will get back to Earth in Endgame?
I saw this recent theory where it said that Tony’s body will die, but he will be capable to upload his consciousness to the Spider Man Tech and at the End Credits scene for End Game it will be Peter suiting up and you hear “hey kid”
Tony as AI like Jarvis would be weird. Him appearing in a video or hologram to Peter would be cool and probably a bit sad.
I agree. Honestly Stark/Iron Man is my favorite in the MCU. When you’ve invested so much emotion into him, End Game is going to be very emotional for me. Hell, the trailer alone had be tearing up. And if Pepper saves him, I might have a panic attack of emotion. 😩
OK, here we go. Feige told the truth, Far From Home is set right after the events of Endgame. But, what if there IS an ‘unsnap’ in Endgame, one that doesn’t just see everyone undusted, but that, through the use of the Infinity Stones themselves, resets the world to a point where Thanos never attacked Earth at all, erasing the attack, decimation, and everyone’s memories of it.
– This explains why Peter has the original Stark suit in the FFH trailer, as opposed to the Iron Spider suit. Attack never happened, so Peter never got off the bus on his way back from the field trip to the Museum Of Modern Art. As such, he never got the Iron Spider suit.
– Adds a nice bit of foreshadowing to Thanos telling Tony ‘I hope they remember you,’ even more so if it’s Tony’s sacrifice that makes the ‘unsnap’ possible. Not to mention, a relationship with Happy and May only happens in a world where Tony isn’t around. ;)
– It introduces one of those classic time-travel tropes to Endgame… ‘If you’re successful, the only one who will remember any of this, is you.’
^ nice theory
@Stark, I think some of what you said will in some ways happen. I don’t think the people who got “decimated” away, will remember that experience either. If Tony does die, I hope Peter is around for that so he can know the sacrifice and maybe have to deal with the grief some too. My guess is Thanos will be killed or defeated at the battle of Wakanda, so Far From Home probably picks up shortly after. Giving Peter a much needed vacation.
So how will people know how Tony died? Like he was out for a walk with peeper and disappeared in front of her eyes? If the Avengers tell everyone nobody would believe them.
I cried just reading this....
There’s quite a great parallel between Thanos and Tony: the two foresaw a great loss, they proposed an idea to counter the loss, they were deemed mad, ‘the mad Titan’ and mad scientists, and what they foresaw came to pass. Tony leads Cap to the edge of the cliff where the Red Skull will have some interaction with Cap, and then reveal that a sacrifice must be made. Cap will give Tony a look, and the same thing that happened in Civil War will happen here, as a parallel: Cap will ask Tony if he knew. Tony will admit it. Cap is here thinking that Tony brought him there to be sacrificed, to which Cap will suck it up and agree.
This is where things will go differently than anyone expects. Tony will not sacrifice Steve to get the Soul Stone, but instead explain to Cap how things have to go down:
But then the greatest difference between Tony and Thanos will be revealed in Tony’s humanity. He’ll walk to the edge, and ask Cap to push him off. Not only will that contrast Tony and Thanos, but it will complete what Cap and Tony began arguing about in The Avengers, where Cap claims that Tony would never be the one to make the ‘sacrifice play.’ Tony almost sacrificed himself to defeat the Chitauri, but that wasn’t enough. This, again, will have the audience’s emotions overwhelmed. They’ll be begging Tony not to sacrifice Cap for the Stone, and perhaps even questioning Tony’s sanity, and then suddenly, when Tony reveals that he brought Cap there so he, Tony, himself could be sacrificed for the Stone, the audience will shift and realize they also don’t want Tony to be sacrificed. This, to me, feels like something the Russo’s would do.
