In the movies, Thor and Loki refer to them selves as gods. Which is what I thought they where. Though recently a friend of mine brought up that in Agents of shield, Thor is said to be a demigod.
Did I miss something? Or are they gods?

Asgardians are an alien race of people. The Norse Vikings saw them as gods, so therefore that is what they referred to them as. The name stuck, although they know that they are just a race of people with expansive lifespans.

<p>Haha not preaching, no in Marvel comics the main being or God is named, The One Above All, not Christian God. He is the boss of the Living Tribunal, and not to be confused with the Celestial leader with the same name or close to it. I recently have seen they have possibly a main evil called The One Below All. </p>
@Sin Reaver, oh gosh. I am sorry! You mentioned the Judeo-Christian God, the one that I profess my faith in, then said, “The One Above All” which is something we sometimes call him. Now I’m not doubting whether your a Christian, I just assumed. I’m sorry if I offended you.
