I do 100% believe that the Soul Stone Theory is true. But what if one, not soul, but MIND was preserved.

Wanda is the only Avenger or Guardian, not including Pietro, who was given power through the mind stone. What if (don't hate me for this) Wanda, unlike the other 50%, was sucked in to the mind stone, because the energy signature given off by her powers is similar to it's own.

Anyways, Tony asks Nebula to send him back to Earth. They stay there for a while mourning the loss of their fellow allies. When all of a sudden Natasha screams in agony. When asked if she was okay she replied, "Wanda... is... alive." Which makes sense because Nat seems close to Wanda after the events of Civil War, Wanda used her powers to reach out to Natasha telling he that she is alive in the mind stone. Tony, Banner, and Shurri (can't remember if she died) get to work, trying to figure out if this how to get her out. By some miracle it works. She tells them that because of being in the mind stone her powers have been "upgraded". She tells them she can sense the other 50% in the soul stone.

I think this might be cool because then when they are about to defeat Thanos, Wanda transfers the grief of the remaining half by "putting their pain in his mind, just a hundred times faster, and painful." And when she does that it kills him. When she does that Cap asks her angrily, "You didn't have to do that." She replies, "Yes I did. For Vis."
