In Thor Ragnarok, Thor says the fight against Ultron was 2 years ago. So that puts Thor Ragnarok in 2017. Then in Infinity War, Iron Man says Thanos has been in his head for 6 years, after he sent an army to New York. So that puts Infinity War in 2018.

But Infinity War is supposed to take place directly after Ragnarok's end credit scene, and Ragnarok is set in 2017.

So is this a plot hole, or did Thor take months to try to get back to Earth? Someone please help me out, I've looked all over online, and can't find anything.

hello all.....going along with the above question: the article for Avengers - Infinity War says that the end credits scene with Fury and Hill takes place in Chicago. Are we sure about that? Has anyone seen confirmation that they are really in Chicago?

I have heard rumours about, the time in the planet Sakaar works differently to Earth, it is like 2 days or 2 weeks in Sakaar for one hour spent outside of Sakaar's atmosphere or something like that. I am not sure if its right.

You are correct about Ragnarok being November-December 2017. That helps a lot with Feige's comment of Ragnarok NOT being in November 2017. And yes!! Infinity War is on early 2018 (spring-march)

I know it is Chicago but I don't know where was that confirmed. It is a nice tie in with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season Five tho.

The battle between Quake and Graviton was kn Chicago a few hours before the Battle of Wakanda. Graviton's ship was seen. And when Fury and Hill talk about the ships in Wakanda they compare the signal to the one in New York , what if they are in Chicago because they heard of Graviton's ship and wanted to know if it is the same. Connections unintended.

Also... What's the time gap between Homecoming and Infinity War? Has to be 2 years right? Peter should be close to graduating..

No... From Spider-Man: Homecoming to Avengers: Infinity War has been Two calendar years but 18 months since September 2016 to March 2018.

You should remember that two calendar years is NOT the same to scholar years... Parker was in Sophomore from Sept 2016 to June 2017. He is currently on Junior Year which begins on Sept 2017 and would end on late June 2018. Parker is on March 2018 when Thanos arrives, and Spider-Man: Far From Home picks up on Summer 2018 "minutes" after Avengers 4. So Parker must be 17 years old and still on Junior Year. Parker WILL gradute on June 2019. Three calendar years after Civil War.
