<p>It will absolutely be undone. If not, then not only would Marvel lose the characters who were seen disappearing onscreen, but they would also have to write literally half the established characters across ALL movies and series, including the television shows, as disappeared as well. They're obviously not going to kill off literally half of the entire MCU; that would be franchise-suicide. </p>

And not to mention they'd lose a number of fans.

<p>I think some of the survivors might die in the attempt to bring back those who vanished. Since some of the actors contracts are up it would make sense for them to die or to disappear behind the scenes and only be mentioned. </p><p>After Thanos snapped his finger the gauntlet seemed to be severely damaged, even though it was designed to hold the stones it would not be surprising if the act overloaded the gauntlet. </p><p>I think Carol (Captain Marvel) might be the one to undo what Thanos did. As it is known one of her powers in the comics is the power to absorb various types of energy. Though is has been said she will be one of the most powerful heroes in the MCU we don't know how much of her powers will be adapted into her movie counterpart. </p><p>But if you think about it, it makes sense. Her ability to absorb energy might allow her to act as a conduit for the infinity stones, becoming a pseudo-gauntlet and undo what Thanos did. </p><p>Of course they could also return to the dwarf king and see if he could make them another gauntlet. But Thanos has the stones and getting them from him will obviously be difficult. </p>

<p>I like to think that Strange surrendering the Time Stone and dying was part of the only possible outcome he found to win and Stark would be needed to save the world, aside from the role of Captain Marvel. </p>
