So, does anyone have any ideas how they'll introduce mutants into the MCU? It'll be a little difficult since they can't just go "ah, but you see? They've been here the whole time". That's a pretty big secret to hide from the audience for so long. On the other hand, they can't just come into existence now all of a sudden. Most of the X-Men are full grown adults, so they've been around for years!
I honestly don't know how they'll do it unless they just call them Inhumans.

Adapt the Secret Wars storyline from 2015 where multiple realities were forged into one world.

Someone uses the Reality Stone in Avengers 4 to "fix" the Timeline revealing that the timeline we know is an altered one which would lead X-Men and FF showing up in the end and recognizing everyone from this universe but no one recognizing them because universe was previously altered and they were erased along with many others by an antagonist. Perhaps.... DOOM. Who then also got trapped in space-time mumbo jumbo or lost his mental state. Which is why he never appeared. Or it could be Kang. Altering timelines and stuff.

Sentry erased FF and X-Men from history along with many others with his memory erasing machine or whatever that is..
Personally, I would use the "Charles Xavier mind wiped humans memories of mutants" explanation suggested by Screen Rant, ComicsExplained, and CinemAddix for why we haven't seen mutants/X-Men in the MCU. It's the easiest and most simple explanation since no one in the MCU for decades has ever talked about mutants.
What about discovering that a lot of the inhumans are in fact not inhumans, but mutants?
An alternate universe could do the job. Inhumans and mutants in the same universe means confusion. A lot of confusion.
If Marvel could establish a separate universe especially for the X-Men, they could manage the storylines much easily causing less confusion.
Now coming to the public demand:
The ULTIMATE crossover; the geeky dream of every comics fan.
I have nothing against a crossover. But considering the condition of the mainstream MCU after Infinity War. The highly celebrated members of the Avengers may retire from their superhero business. The contracts of the actors are already expiring. Evans has only one more movie to go and RDJ has already been in a lot of movies. The new Avengers will include lesser known superheroes and if there is a crossover, I doubt the return of the stars and the possibility of a crossover
But yes some fan theories do make sense and there are possibilities of adjusting the X-Men in the mainstream MCU.
P.S.: Considering the fan theories including the usage of Infinity stones to restore the damage done after IW. I don't think Marvel wants to spoil their only dark movie with a happy ending. They've already spoilt the seriousness of a previous movie by restoring the damage done(on a smaller scale though)
