- Scarlet Witch's powers have the same source of power of the Masters of the Mystic Arts, but they are much more caotic and wider. They can be considered the MCU version of Chaos Magic, altough we'll need to wait for an official confirmation.

Let's not exaggerate, like Mister Bacon does. Kevin Feige says this: "Her powers, she’s never had any training, I’m talking about Scarlet Witch. She never had any training; she’s figuring it out. Arguably, you could say that that’s why her powers are much more chaotic and much more loose in the way that we showcased those light effects. In [Doctor Strange], some of what you might see today, even the cover of Entertainment Weekly, it’s much tighter. It’s all about focus. It’s all about pulling energies from other dimensions in an organized and purposeful fashion, which is why they can do a lot more than she can in, at least, a much more precise way."

That doesn't say anything about Scarlet Witch's powers being not scientific, or about her powers being fueled by some other dimensions. Kevin Feige says only that she is untrained, and that Strange and his buddies can pull energies from other dimensions. That's it.

If it was science, Strange could force it. Like any chemical reaction he could just force it. But, he has to work with the energy, which puts the techniques into a differents spectrum than science. Magic.
