The fact that the MCU has tried to tie magic and science together as one and the same has always bothered me. I think the best way to go about defining it is to try to keep the definition wide and open but make note of the fact that there are some types of ''magic'' that are the high degree of science humans do not fully understand or have a more solid foundation in science which can be explained or reasoned by human standards.

<p>At the contrary, for me the fact that MCU had tried to tie magic and science was never a big deal, since it is pretty common in the fantastic literature to mix science and magic, and sometimes the line between the two is very blurry. For example, in the Chtulhu Mythos the dreadful entities created by H.P. Lovecraft can be both considered as hellish demons and powerful aliens, provided with powerful cosmic powers that can hardly by both science and magic. </p><p>What "Doctor Strange", and "Agents of SHIELD" recently, do very well is to explain that some mystical source of power can be analized with scientific methods, but never fully understood. </p>

<p>That's not how we do things here. We can't twist the official MCU facts and ignore Thor's statement just because you don't like it. If the MCU characters say that magic and science are the same thing, we have to accept that. </p>

Kevin Feige's statements and Doctor Strange provide a more in-depht analysis of this statement. Magic is not just fake magic/super advanced superscience, is something else entirely that his connected organically with science. </p>

All I was trying to say in regards to my personal view is that by making magic and science one on the same they take some of the fun out of magic. I was in no way trying to bash the MCU or anyone connected to that decision. </p><p>As for my suggestion, I just trying to see if there was a middle ground if a page for the topic of magic is indeed created. I understand what they're trying to do by rooting magic in science but I do think the page should be open to the idea that some magic cannot be explained by science standards. </p><p>I think this will be my last input on this subject. Uskok, you don't need to worry about responding. I understand your position on this matter and the fact you're word carries more weight on this site then mine. You're still one of the best Administrators on this site and one of the friendliest I've come across. </p>

<p>Remember when Moro was curious as to how more energy was created than what was put in? Well, we kind of got an answer in the movie. The Ancient One said that they use energy of other dimensions. Not the one from the universe. So, Newton's Law still applies. The same amount of energy put in is what comes out, it just takes intense training to extract that energy. </p>

Or, Thor could be stating that magic is their science Or, the Asgardians combine them in some advance alchemy. Either way, I think it will be explained in Ragnarok, because we'll be seeing more of the mystical figures like Hel and Surtur. </p>

<p>Basically, an article about magic should contain what the Ancient One explains to Strange as a basis. </p>
