<p>My guess would be that Oscorp already existed, obviously, and competed with Stark Industries and Hammer Industries for years. But where as they focused on mechanical advances, Oscorp dealt mostly in the biological. This would allow for the inclusion of Scorpion, Rhino, Lizard, and many other Spidey villains while saving time explaining how they came to be. Mostly by just saying Oscorp did it. I also had a theory that they could say that the Super Soldier Serum used on Blonsky came from Oscorp. Think about it, the serum caused mental instability and physical mutations. Prototype Goblin Serum perhaps? It also wouldn't surprise me if Norman Osborn had connections to Hydra. </p>

<p>I think they'll have to be extra careful not to wreck the tone of the MCU that's been established in a number of films and two series with the addition of the cartoony villains from Spider-Man. The previous SM adaptations didn't have to deal with this, but let's admit it, the Green Goblin was lame on-screen even in Raimi's version. A dude in a plastic green suit on a hovering skateboard? I don't think this kind of treatment would look all that good beside the serious-looking Shield of the MCU... Personally, I'm not sure how they're going to even integrate Spider-Man himself. I hope they do a thorough reimagining, because while I have nothing against the Raimi films, I can't see their Spider-Man in the MCU. And Scorpion, Rhino, Lizard, etc.? I <i>really</i> can't see that. As for Octopus -- well, the mechanical arms shouldn't be a problem, but does he really have to walk on them? Alfred Molina's charismatic portrayal notwithstanding. </p>

<p>I remember something about the Oscorp building being seen in the first Avengers movie, but I'm looking for it in my dvd and can't find it. </p>

<p>They wanted to include it, but Disney and Sony couldn't work something out at the time. </p><p>Also, anyone who says they hope Osborn isn't in the new Spider-Man films is an idiot. It'd be like having Batman films without the Joker. It ain't gonna happen. </p>

<p>They agreed to include the Oscorp building in the Avengers, but the design was not finished in time to be included. </p>

<p>I think it would be a cool idea! Long live Norman Osborn! I hope he is played by Matthew McConaughey. </p>

Also I hope they do a good job portraying him.

<p>Norman Osborn and Otto Octavius could be tied with Tony Stark when Stark Industries' still making weapons. Because Osborn and Octavius are just like him. And Stark will be appearing on the new Spider-Man movie. </p>

<p>I imagine that Oscorp will already be established, as will the Green Goblin (Norman Osborn) because of how essential he is to Spider-Man's origin story and overall identity. </p><p>I like to think of it as a Semi-reboot to the Marc Webb series, where Spider-Man got his powers already and has fought and defeated Lizard, Electro and Rhino, with Green Goblin still being a major threat to him. Of course some details would have to be changed. Like Norman going crazy instead of Harry, Peter still being in high school, etc. But overall, I think that makes the most sense for the time being, I don't how they'll handle him in the actual movie though... </p>

<p>Only if Oscorp is involved with HYDRA, SHIELD & STARK, so were Pete's parents, had SHIELD & STARK let HYDRA killed them while stood nothing while those organization had sent one of their brainwashed soldier other than Bucky to do their dirty works. </p><p>I do hope Oscorp will be a Big Neutral once the time has come to attack HYDRA for forcing the corp to work with them, after killing Norman's wife, yet manage to spare Harry when Norman had no choice to work for HYDRA, if announced. </p>
