I think they'll have to be extra careful not to wreck the tone of the MCU that's been established in a number of films and two series with the addition of the cartoony villains from Spider-Man. The previous SM adaptations didn't have to deal with this, but let's admit it, the Green Goblin was lame on-screen even in Raimi's version. A dude in a plastic green suit on a hovering skateboard? I don't think this kind of treatment would look all that good beside the serious-looking Shield of the MCU... Personally, I'm not sure how they're going to even integrate Spider-Man himself. I hope they do a thorough reimagining, because while I have nothing against the Raimi films, I can't see their Spider-Man in the MCU. And Scorpion, Rhino, Lizard, etc.? I really can't see that. As for Octopus -- well, the mechanical arms shouldn't be a problem, but does he really have to walk on them? Alfred Molina's charismatic portrayal notwithstanding.
