ALL POSTSAvengers 3 - rumor has it...
<p>that Thor and Captain America will NOT be in the third installment. Some blog called BadAss digest made that claim today and other blogs are running with the story. To my understanding Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth are contracted to do Avengers 3 - a point that was not picked up by Badass. And the last rumor about Avengers 3 is that Loki will lead Asgard into war with Earth. What gives? Is Marvel throwing out drips and drabs and bloggers cook up the rest just they can get clicks? Or is Marvel is just switching up just to keep up interest.... since the MCU is planned out to 2028? (Who works for them, Nostradamus?) Marvel needs to be mindful that not everyone that goes to its movies lives and breathes the comics. The studio thinks it can throw everything but the kitchen sink out there everyone will come running. They were fortunate with Guardians of the Galaxy; lightening may not strike again. Cap and Thor have fan bases, they may not be willing to patronize A3 if they are gone. Robert Downey Jr. is a major favorite that gets a HUGE paycheck from Marvel, but check some blogs there are signs of Stark fatigue showing. Marvel should not take its patrons for granted.

<p>The rumor is that a new Marvel team will be introduced. Which means, we MIGHT be getting a West Coast Avengers, which may mean the new team could be lead by one of the former Avengers (perhaps Hawkeye) and could consist of Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Ant-Man, Black Panther, Dr. Strange and Ms. Marvel. (If the rumors are true, that is.)
</p><p>And who knows, this could be a good way to introduce Bobbi Morse as Mockingbird and hook her up with Clint. ;)

<p>@Silverstream & @Somethingman19 - the thing that annoys me anything reported by certain blogs is taken as gospel. Latino Review reported the first 20 minutes of AoU with some being confirmed by Marvel - but not all. It makes me wonder if they make up the rest to fill up word space. (LR got it wrong on an Iron Man 2 tip they reported - a Tony/Pepper/Black Widow love triangle. Didn't see a hint of that in the movie, just Tony being horny, Widow being bored and Pepper figuratively rolling her eyes about it.) Another AoU rumor - Hulk is shot off into space at the end of the movie. Someone put out a supposed complete story of the movie online. You can't even count on the video leaks online - they may end up on the cutting room floor. Anything to get hard core fans to camp out one week before the Friday Midnight showing at the multiplex I suppose.
</p><p>What's been confirmed is Robert Downey Jr. is in negoitiations for Iron Man 4. Enough is enough. They need to cut these francises off at three movies and maybe come back YEARS later for a reboot. This is running it into the ground, leading the quality to suffer. This has money grab written all over it - by Downey and Marvel Studios.
