<p>It is stated in <i>The Avengers</i> that the blue gem inside the scepeter is powered by the Tesseract, it uses the Tesseract energy, it cannot be another Infinity Stone.Thanos is trying to collect the Stones, he gave Loki the army so that Loki could achieve the Tesseract to him. Thanos would NEVER lend one of the Stones to Loki, it doesn't make sense...

<p>Hahaha, can we just all agree, that if the scepter is indeed the mind gem, it is a fuck-up of unbeliveable proportions that it is just as blue as the cube? We are talking about objects around which they based their whole cinematic universe. So either they are unbeliveably stupid, or it is not the mind gem.
